Why Choose Lakin Carpet & Flooring Co. Ltd

· Choice - With an unlimited array of colours, textures, designs, and qualities available, we have something to suit your property. No matter what you want, we can provide you with it.

· Luxury - Soft, tactile, comfortable, and cosy, nothing quite matches the feel of padding around on a sumptuous carpet. It is sheer luxury underfoot when you buy from us.

· Sound - Noiseless underfoot, it absorbs sound. Due to its soft cushioning properties, carpet virtually eliminates impact noise and results in a calmer, stress-free environment. When a carpet has been expertly fitted by our team, up to 45db can be absorbed – resulting in a quieter living space.

· Hygiene – In our opinion, carpet is no less of a healthy material than any other type of flooring.

Maintaining Your Carpet

Your carpet is guaranteed to last longer and appear in the same great condition as you first bought it the more you take care of it. Here at Lakin Carpet & Flooring Co. Ltd, we recommend vacuuming your carpet at least once a week to keep it looking great. Heavy traffic areas should be vacuumed daily to keep it clean.

It’s entirely normal for new carpets to ‘fluff’. There’s no need to panic should this happen to yours. All we suggest is vacuuming it daily to keep it to a minimum. For cut pile carpets, an upright vacuum with a beater bar brush is recommended or cylinder vacuums with a turbo head attachment. For loop pile carpets, a suction-only cleaner is preferred. Vacuum cleaners are now available that incorporate high levels of exhaust air filtration, such as HEPA filters. We strongly recommend these if you have pets or a respiratory condition.

When vacuuming your carpet, it’s important that you also make sure you’re using a well-maintained piece of equipment. Belts and brushes or beater bars need to be in good condition and correctly adjusted for height to ensure that your carpet is getting the best possible vacuum. Most importantly, it’s imperative that filters and dust bags are emptied regularly.
